Congaree Pharmacy provides compounding of medications tailored to meet prescribing physician's customized therapy, and the patient's specific need.
While offering many advantages, the mass production of medications has meant that available products have a limited variety of dosage strengths and delivery forms which may not fit the needs of the patient. Older, perfectly effective medications may be discontinued by the manufacturer. Compounding pharmacists formulate medications the traditional way, by combining the basic elements of a drug and a delivery method to the specifications required.
For instance, if a patient has difficulty swallowing pills, we can prepare his medication in liquid form. Or if a particular medication has an objectionable taste, we can add a flavoring to make it more palatable.
